and is that a persian song???????????
^__________________*
It's a persian song .. as for translating it I don't mind but the song loses half its meaning once it's translated ..
here's the intro to the song so that you get an idea of what the song is about:
'I have put all my love and feelings for you in my heart as gently as they place laila* on the camel(as she is taking off). They stand beside her crying so deeply for her such that the baby camel gets stuck in the mud from all those tears. My heart is like the wild bird, once it's scared off it's almost impossible for it to go back .. '
[*laila is referred to the character in the love story 'laili va majnoon']
I'm not a good translater and like I mentioned this is no where as close as how deep the meaning of this song is ..
oh sweet just like the song " Layla " by Eric clapton but this is the Persian verion :P
hehe not .. but both are good songs
Hehehe.. I got me a Persian friend to translate it 3adil. I liked it.
Layla by Erid Clapton is my fave!

let me know if this is what you were looking for ..
I was given your address by a friend, because of the lyrics of Haydeh. Thanks for this: i looked a long long time in vain to find them. It's such a wonderful song, even if i don't understand a word of it. Is it a poem from Rûmi, as i was told?
malkut: anytime, yes it was written by Rumi, I wish you did understand the words it's so beautiful .. I translated the first part on the comments I posted for others but if you want I'll be more than happy to translate the rest for you ..
Thank you for your help, i'll be very pleased if you could translate this song. I will also try to find the translation in french: last year i read some poems from Rumi, amd maybe it is one of them. May you give me the title please, so i find it? Thank you so much!
malkut: anytime, I have my hands tied down for a couple of days but once things are done i'll listen to the song for you and translate it all n post it on this page .. as for the title of the poem, i'm not sure since I first heard this from the song 'ayare man' but i'll be sure to ask around for you ..
thank you for writting out the lyrics to "elaheyeh naz". your blog was the only place where I could find it. I wasn't sure about some parts of it, but now I know. very nicely done.
Of course I understand the lyrics. It's by Rumi, and it's written in Persian. It's amazingly beautiful, typical of all Rumi's works and thoughts. I have studied and still am studying about him, if you've any Qs email me mahdadz(remove this part)@yahoo.com.
Oh forgot to mention. Since you mentioned it, Elaheye naz is (I think) written by Mr. Abolghasem Halat, one of the contemporary Persian poets (maybe past century). The original song was composed by Mr. Akbar Mohseni (around 50 years ago or so), and legendary Maestro Gholamhosein Banan made it immortal with his passionate voice.
BTW, I'm not that old to remember all these, but I study about these when I can.

Mahdad: the show I saw was 'Corteo' i'm sure the one's you saw in Vegas were by far more interesting ..
Hello! Sorry, i answer so late. How are u, chica bonita q8? Thanks for your help.
malkut: I'm doing well thank you .. Here is the translation to the song 'ayareh man' that I promised I'd post, I'm sorry it took me so long to post this.
'I have put all my love and feelings for you in my heart as gently as they place laila* on the camel (as she is taking off). They stand beside her crying so deeply for her such that the baby camel gets stuck in the mud from all those tears. My heart is like the wild bird, once it's scared off it's almost impossible for it to go back . From the time that my desires have become mirages (illusions) , all the questions in my heart are left unanswered. My heart is like a thirsty person desperately in search of water ( meaning in search of him). The maps of my life are all pictures of a mirage (illusions). Oh all those heart aches are burning me inside, the thousand things left on my tongue ( the things I wanted to say to you) have become prisoners of twists and turns (meaning their struggles). I don’t have the desire of monks (not in the way philosophers do ) nor do I have the desire of poets (not like theirs dreams), the plans of lovers (relationship) have faded away . There’s no time to complain no time for storytelling (no time to talk). I have spent all my life waiting for that knock on the door. I didn’t realize that my youth has passed me by while I was waiting for you. I traveled the seven skies and I traveled the seven seas, you’re my guiding light, you use me and you rob me. Your both ends of things, you’re my never dying light. If you go take me with you, my love don’t leave without my soul. You became my religion and your spirit is my faith. Your presence is unknown to me, as though I have lost you. Don’t leave without me, my love don’t leave without my soul. My friend my lover, your in my heart and you hold the key to it. You’re the person who knows my deepest secrets and the one who understands me. You’re my religion and my faith. My life is yours, your pain is mine. Don’t leave without me, my love don’t leave without my soul.
Notes:
[* laila is referred to the character from the love story laili va majnoon]
(Rumi wrote this song to his master and so this song was directed to him, Haydeh wrote it as a love song and so I have translated it according to the song).
This translation doesn't depict the true beauty of the song, since a song loses it’s meaning once it is translated ..
chicabonita: thanks for the translation. Of course, a poem looses a great parts og its meaning and of its beauty when translated. And there are somme allusions i don't understand. I found some elements about Rumi's poetry, the story of Layla and Majnun, etc... Do you know by chance where i could find this poem written in persian alphabet?
malkut: sorry I just saw your comment I haven't check this post in a while; I can definitely look around for you to find this poem in persian alphabet or I can write it myself and scan it for you if you'd like, let me know if that works ..
